Terms of use
Last updated 18 October 2026
1. About these terms
FirmFacts (firmfacts.co) is run by Vavien Technology Limited, Dublin, Ireland ("we"). These terms apply whenever you use the site. By using it, or by creating an account, you agree to them. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data. Contact: support@firmfacts.co.
2. What FirmFacts is
FirmFacts shows companies' figures as they filed them with public registers, with information from other public sources, rankings, comparisons and reports built from them. Every figure comes from a filing: we don't estimate or fill in figures, and a figure that wasn't filed shows as "—".
FirmFacts is information, not advice. It is not a credit rating, an investment recommendation, a forecast or legal, tax or financial advice. Filings can be late, amended or wrong, and our reading of them can contain mistakes. Check the filed documents, which every company page links to, before relying on anything for a decision. If you spot a mistake, tell us at support@firmfacts.co and we'll correct it.
3. Accounts
You need to be 16 or older to create an account. Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. One account is for one person. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
4. Paid plans and reports
Some figures, features and reports are available only on a paid plan or as a one-off purchase. When these are on sale:
- The price, what's included and any limits are shown before you pay. Prices include VAT where it applies.
- Payments are taken by Stripe through its Link service, which resells our plans and reports as the seller of record ("Sold through Link"): Link takes the payment, works out and pays the VAT, and sends your receipts and invoices, under the Link consumer terms. We remain responsible for FirmFacts itself: what a plan or report includes, and that it works as described. Your statement shows "LINK.COM*" followed by our name.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your account page (Manage billing) or from your Link account; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- A deep report covers a company as of when it was prepared. It isn't updated after you get it; a newer one is prepared when the company files something new.
- If you buy as a consumer in the EU or UK, you can cancel a purchase within the cooling-off period the law and the Link consumer terms give you (14 days from when you get access): ask Link for a refund, giving the cooling-off period as the reason. Nothing here affects your other legal rights as a consumer, including if something we supply is faulty.
- If something you paid for doesn't work as described, write to us at support@firmfacts.co and we'll fix it or refund you. Questions about a payment itself can also go to Link support.
5. Fair use
You may use FirmFacts for your own research and your organisation's internal purposes. You must not:
- copy, scrape or download the site's data in bulk, or use automated tools to do so, without our written permission;
- resell or republish our data, rankings or reports as a product or service of your own, or share your paid access with others;
- use information about people shown on FirmFacts to harass, discriminate against or contact them for marketing in breach of the law;
- try to get around plan limits or locked content, or interfere with the site's security or working.
You can quote individual figures and short extracts with a link to the page and a credit to FirmFacts. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or security stops us.
6. Who owns what
The underlying public data stays under its own licences, credited on our Legal page, and you may use it under those licences directly from its sources. The site, its design and software, and our compilation, rankings, analysis and reports belong to us. Company names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify them.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep FirmFacts available and current, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. If we make a change that takes away something important from a paid plan you're on, we'll tell you beforehand, and you can cancel and get back the unused part of what you paid. When these terms change, we'll update the date above and tell account holders by email about changes that affect them; the new terms apply from then on.
8. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for decisions you make using information from FirmFacts, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. If you use FirmFacts for business, we aren't liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Irish law. If you have a complaint, write to us first and we'll try to sort it out. Disputes go to the Irish courts, but if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU or in the UK, you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory laws and can bring a claim in your own courts.
